Living Gauguin -- A feature length independent movie experiment on art and film written, produced and directed by the artist Juan Galceran.
This film was conceived & produced to be projected as an integrated part of an original, one of a kind, mural size painting which can be viewed in the "La Vida" Art Series section. Paintings from the "La Vida" Series are also immersed and are part of the movie itself.

Diego is an artist -- at least in spirit...and that’s all he feels he has. He hates his job and people
seem to treat him badly. Desperately - Diego feels he isn’t “truly living” and must somehow
make a move to regain meaning to his life. Reading about the great painter Paul Gauguin,
Diego emulates the artist and leaves the comfort of his world for a place he can live cheaply and
paint full time - - the streets of Juarez, Mexico. But often dreams come at a price and Diego is forced to come to terms of what “truly living” means when one has to survive and escape with one’s own life.
Bonus: DVD Commentary on the art in "Living Gauguin."
Each DVD is hand painted, numbered, & signed in a limited edition series by artist-filmmaker Juan Galceran.
